Dr. Russell Townsend is a part of our stellar team here at Bunbury and Busselton Eye Specialists, and is ready to assist you
I have been a full-time ophthalmology clinician/surgeon in Bunbury/Busselton Eye since 2011.
After completing my medical degree at UWA in 1997, I completed ophthalmology training in Perth and UK at the Cheltenham General Hospital in 2010 which enabled me to gain a solid foundation in general and paediatric ophthalmic surgery to ready myself for rural practice.
I was delighted to return to my home town of Bunbury in 2011 where I live with my wife and two children.
I am a keen mountain biker and kitesurfer, alongside more quiet hobbies such as piano playing, beekeeping, and meditation.
I am a comprehensive ophthalmologist with the following special interests:
Chandra is a general ophthalmologist at Bunbury and Busselton Eye Specialists. Having completed his medical degree at Monash University in Melbourne in 2008, he then moved to Perth for subspecialty training in Ophthalmology.
Neil is a comprehensive General ophthalmologist at Bunbury and Busselton Eye Specialists. He trained in the UK (Royal Free University Hospital, London) and undertook Sub Specialist Registrar training in the Wessex Deanery in the South of England.
